9 Siringo, Charles A. Two Evil Isms Pinkertonism and Anarchism by a Cowboy Detective Who Knows, As He Spent Twenty-two Years in the Inner Circle of Pinkerton's National Detective Agency
Chicago By Author 1915 First Edition Original Wraps Very Good Book
Rebound with original pictorial wraps laid on heavier card stock, nicely done, 109 pages, frontis, minor wear, housed in a custom clamshell case. According to Ben Pingenot, the hardest Siringo item to find except for "The Texas Cowboy" 1st ed in wraps. Six-Guns 2033, Graff 3808, Adams One-Fifty , Howes 519, " Rather libelous account of his 22 years detective operations against the cattle rustlers, mining swindlers, etc. The greater portion of the edition was destroyed by the Pinkertons on a court decree." Siringo shipped out some copies before they were confiscated and he took a few with him when he fled to Santa Fe. The Pinkerton's bought up all they copies they could, but some survived, thus its rarity.
