Very clean copy of a rare book normally found in poor condition. This copy was used for the State House Press reprint edition. Rader 2957, Graff 3907, Howes 797, "Nearly all copies were destroyed or damaged by fire." Jenkins Basic Texas Books 193, "Contains 132 accounts of early pioneers, mostly as told by them directly to Sowell. Most of the work, however, relates to Indian Fights and Texas Rangers."
