
(1922) 2 volumes. Vol. 1 260 pages, frontis, minor foxing. Vol. 2, 244 pages, frontis, a few indentations on cloth, minor foxing. Both volumes have their original jacket with chipping, good or better, but scarce in any condition. Mostly about the authors experiences in Ireland, politics, war, etc. but has one chapter on travel and sport. The author tells of his first trip to the U.S in 1869, and his second trip in the early 70s. It was on his second trip that he met General Sheridan who tells him of hunting in Nebraska. The author gives a long account of hunting elk and buffalo with Buffalo Bill and Texas Jack. He also tells of his time in Denver, Estes Park, Virginia City Montana, Yellowstone, etc. The author tells of meeting Custer who invited him to join a punitive expedition. He states that he received the invitation too late but fortunately as it turned out. He gives an account of visiting the Crow Agency, with much on the Indians. More hunting including antelope and mountain sheep, etc.
